Obituary of Paul Richard Hussey

JUNIUS — Paul "Huss" Richard Hussey, 82, passed away Saturday (May 4, 2024) at his home.
Family and friends may call 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday (May 14) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home, 46 West Main St, Waterloo, NY. The memorial service will immediately follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday (May 15) in NYS Veterans Cemetery - Finger Lakes. Rev. Dale Andrews, pastor of Geneva Assembly of God Church, will officiate for Paul's predeceased bride, Shorty and Huss.

Paul "Huss" was born January 16, 1942 in Auburn, NY. He was a 1960 graduate of Waterloo Central High School where he proudly played football for the Waterloo Indians. After graduating, Paul went on to serve in the army from 1961 to 1964. Huss retired from Kodak where most of his career was as the head baker and later as a chemical operator. Mr. Hussey coached many young men in the Victor Saints Football League. He spent many summers installing swimming pools, painting houses, camping with family, and fishing with friends. One of his favorite past-times was eating "I-C-E". He was a member of the Geneva Assembly of God Church and AMVETS Post 0770 Tucson.
Paul is survived by his son Ricky (Cindy) Hussey of AZ; daughters Jacqueline Hussey of Clifton Springs, NY and Paula (Shawn) Hannux of Waterloo, NY; grandchildren Ashley and Jordan Maddox, Jessica Hussey, and Olivia Hannux; great-grandchildren Gabriella, Garrett, Reiken, Leighahana, Letti, and Eddie; and brother Jack (Lu) Hussey of Zephyrhills, FL.
He was predeceased by his mother Eleanor C. Ulings Hussey Ahola and his loving wife Shorty, "The Lovely Mrs. Hussey".
