Batavia/Seneca Falls - Barry E. Scutt, 57, of Batavia, died Saturday (January 25, 2014) in E. Bloomfield as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
Friends may call 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.Wednesday (Jan. 29) and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday (Jan. 30) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home in Waterloo. The funeral service will be 4 p.m. Thursday (Jan. 30) at the funeral home. Rev. Eleanor Collinsworth, pastor of the Seneca Falls United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Eutopia Cemetery in Friendship, NY.

Barry was born Dec. 28, 1956 in Corning, the son of Allison E. and Helen Womer Scutt. He was a graduate of Troupsburg High School in Troupsburg, NY. Barry was a U.S. Army veteran having served his country from 1975 to 1977. He began employment with the Seneca Army Depot, until it closed. Then he became employed with the V. A. Medical Center in Batavia and later retired from the V. A. Medical Center in Canandaigua. He was a member of Riders of Kawasaki Motorcycles, American Voyager Association, and the Branchport Rod and Gun Club. He was a loving father, avid woodworking and handyman to all.
He is survived by daughters, Christina (Michael) Pagano of Seneca Falls and Wendy (Aaron) Romney of Fairfield, CT; granddaughter, Juliette Pagano; mother, Helen Scutt of Titusville, FL; brothers, Ivan "Sonny" (Donna) Warriner of Addison, Larry (Paulette) Taylor of Lompoc, Calif. and Christopher (Kimberly) Scutt of Murrysville, PA; and many nieces and nephews, companion, Laurie Ralston of Hall.
He was predeceased by his father, Allison E. Scutt.
