Obituary of Daniel Jones

Seneca Falls - Daniel George Jones, Sr., 68, of 3255 DeMont Rd., died Friday (Sept. 28, 2012) at his home. Friends may call 2 p.m to 4 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 6) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home in Waterloo. The memorial service will be 4 p.m Saturday (Oct. 6) at the funeral home. Tim Masino, a Bishop of the Fayette Ward of Latter Day Saints of Jesus Christ, will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pathway Home, P.O. Box 516, Seneca Falls, 13148. Daniel was born May 20, 1944 in Waterloo, the son of Donald R. and Gertrude A. Cooley Jones. He was a 1963 graduate of Waterloo High School. He retired after 43 years of employment with Goulds Pumps. Dan was active with Pee Wee wrestling, football, and baseball. For many years, he served in the Seneca Falls community. He was affiliated with the Fayette Ward of Latter Day Saints of Jesus Christ. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Sheryl Jones; sons Tony (Laura) Prosser of Fairport, Daniel G. Jones, Jr. of Waterloo, Richard (Linda) Bohling of N.C. Michael (Terry) Bohling of Waterloo, Jason O'Hora of Geneva, and Joshua (Michaela Blevins) Bush of Seneca Falls; daughter Michelle (Jerome) Yates of Kentucky; many grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; mother Gertrude A. Cooley Jones of Seneca Falls; brother Milt (Linda) Jones of Waterloo; sisters Shirley (Ronald) Steele of Waterloo, Kathie (Harry) Rowlison of Waterloo, and Nancy (Charles) Luffman of Seneca Falls; mother-in-law Barbara O'Hara of Auburn, and aunts, uncles, cousins, many nieces and nephews.
