Obituary of Dennis Mark Schreier

WATERLOO – Dennis "Moose" M. Schreier, 70, of Waterloo, NY, passed away Saturday (July 29, 2023) at Living Center at Geneva – North. Family and friends may call from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday (August 7) at the Coe-Genung Funeral Home in Waterloo, NY. The memorial service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday (August 8) at the funeral home. Dale Andrews, pastor of the Geneva Assembly of God, will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Waterloo, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the organization of one's choice. Dennis was born May 12, 1953, in Cincinnati, OH, the son of Joseph M. and Dorothy Eileen Boyd Schreier. He was a 1973 graduate of the Waterloo Central High School. Dennis served in the USMC from 1976 to 1980. Returning from the service, he began employment with Goulds Pumps working many years before his retirement. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Many knew him as a golf enthusiast who enjoyed teaching others to play golf. He was also a longtime member of Big Oak Golf Course and played with many golf leagues over the years. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle. Dennis was a member of the Waterloo Rifle and Pistol Club and the Buckskin Bowman Club in Waterloo. He is survived by his children Missie (Will Breen) Schreier and Michael (Stacey Patrick) Bajdas both of Waterloo, NY; grandchildren Alexia Hyer, Dakota Bajdas, Delyliah Schreier and Mickaila Bajdas; great granddaughter Liliee Dye; brothers Lawrence Schreier of FL and Stanley (Faith) Schreier of Seneca Falls, NY; many cousins, nieces and nephews; and his canine companions Jack and Pickles. Dennis was predeceased by his parents; and siblings Richard and his wife Shirley Schreier, sister Pat and her husband Donald Wilson, and sister-in-law Caroline Schreier.
