Obituary of Marjorie Ellen Sitterley

WATERLOO – Marjorie E. Sitterley, 75, passed away peacefully at her home, Sunday (October 16, 2022).
Family and friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday (October 22, 2022) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home in Waterloo, NY. The memorial service will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Anita Milne, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Waterloo, will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Waterloo, NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Psi Beta Psi Sorority, Alpha Beta Chapter, c/o Ellen Armitage, 26 Center St., Waterloo, NY, 13165.
Marjorie was born February 20, 1947, in Waterloo, NY, the daughter of Joseph Willis and Ellen Louise Johnson Brown. She was a lifelong resident of Waterloo. Marge was a 1965 graduate Waterloo Central High School. She was employed for ten years with Taylor-Brown Memorial Hospital in Waterloo, NY and then at Geneva General Hospital for a combined total of forty-two years of employment. Marge was a member of Phi Beta Psi Sorority. She was a member of the Classy Ladies a group of women from the Class of 1965 that would meet monthly.
She is survived by her son Jeffrey R. (Amanda Davis) Sitterley of Woodstock, GA; daughter Tammy L. Lindsay of Rochester, NY; grandchildren Erin Lindsay, Ellen Lindsay, Jess Lindsay, Krista Sitterley, Rem Sitterley, and Nicole Sitterley; brother Clifford "Skip" (Nancy Roe) Brown of Waterloo, NY; brother-in-law James Randall of Waterloo, NY; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Marge was predeceased by her parents; sisters Phyllis Randall, Judy Newstead, Rosemary Gillotti, and Bonnie Relyea.
