Obituary of William James Dilley

WATERLOO – William J. Dilley, 74, of Waterloo, NY, passed away peacefully at home Tuesday (May 31, 2022). In keeping with the wishes of the family, there will be no calling hours. The graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday (June 11) in Oaklawn Cemetery, Oaks Corners, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Beverly's Animal Shelter, 50 E. River St., Waterloo, NY, 13165. Bill was born November 4, 1947, in Indianapolis, IN, the son of Pierre E. and Thresia F. Schnurr Dilley. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving his country from 1968 to 1971. Bill retired after many years with the Seneca Army Depot in Romulus, NY. After retiring from the depot, Bill was employed with Wilson Press and Mail House in Seneca Falls, NY and Wal-Mart in Waterloo, NY. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling and brewing his own beer. He is survived by daughters Barbara Bailey of Phelps, NY and Nicole (Wayne, Sr.) Ellison of Geneva, NY; and grandchildren Austin Ellison, Braeden Dilley, and Ethan Bailey; and his close personal friend Ray Millis of Clyde, NY.
