SENECA FALLS – Arne Gundersen, 72, of Seneca Falls, NY, passed away at home with his loving family near him, Friday (April 1, 2022). In keeping with the wishes of the family, there will be no calling hours. The memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday (April 15) at the funeral home. Rev. David Underwood, pastor of Waterloo Baptist Church, will officiate. Military rites will be performed by members of the U. S. Army, Waterloo Memorial Post 6433, V. F. W. and Warner Van Riper Post 435, American Legion. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to American Cancer Society, 1120 S. Goodman St., Rochester, NY, 14620. Arne was born September 22, 1949, in Oak Park, Ill. the son of Arne I. and Ethel Gibson Gundersen. He graduated from Austin High School in Chicago, Ill. He served two enlistments in the U. S. Army from 1969 to 1975. Returning from the service he was employed at Seneca Army Depot, until he retired. Arne was life time member of Waterloo Memorial Post 6433, V. F. W. He is survived by his wife Beverly A. Gundersen; sons Steven Gundersen of St. Roberts, MO and Timothy Foster of Seneca Falls, NY; daughter Karen (Thomas) Wilkerson of St. Roberts, MO; grandchildren Dyllon Gundersen and Montana Gundersen; sisters Janet Nendze of Maywood, Ill. and Marie Liss of Dowagiac, MI; uncle Ian Gibson of Corby, England; many cousins, nieces and nephews.
