Obituary of Beatrice Ann Covert

SENECA FALLS – Beatrice A. Covert, 80, of Seneca Falls, NY, passed away peacefully Wednesday (February 2, 2022). In keeping with the wishes of the family, there will be no calling hours or services. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. A private burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Waterloo, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, 356 N. Midler Ave., #4, Syracuse, NY, 13206. Beatrice was born August 21, 1941, in Lyons, NY, the daughter of Albert and Iva Drable Mahar. She appreciated the outdoors and loved going to Sodus Point. Beatrice enjoyed listening to country music. Beatrice is survived by her children Ronald Rice, Richard Rice, Barbara Rice, Laurie Lee (Chuck) Payne, Florence (Adam) Warchocki and Charles Covert; fourteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; brother John Mahar; sister Elizabeth Cator; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Raymond Covert; oldest daughter Phyllis Rice; brothers Howard Wilbur and Albert Mahar; and sisters Marion Benjamin and Florence Griffin.
