Obituary of Walter Chester Jaycox

WATERLOO – Walter C. Jaycox, 75, of Waterloo, passed away Friday (January 21, 2022) at Geneva General Hospital. In keeping with the wishes of the family there will be no calling hours. The memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday (February 12) at the Geneva Assembly of God Church, 757 Pre-Emption Rd., Geneva, NY. Rev. Philip Jaycox, Walter's son, will officiate. Military honors will be provided by the U. S. Army. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, 6390 Fly Road, 2nd Floor, E. Syracuse, NY, 13057 or American Kidney Foundation, 731 James St., #200, Syracuse, NY, 13203. Face masks are recommended for those attending the memorial service. Walter was born November 1, 1946, the son of Walter E. and Nellie Van Deusan Jaycox. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Walt was a crop farmer having owned his own farm for many years. He also retired from Goulds Pumps in Seneca Falls, NY after many years of employment with the company. His wife, Linda owns Penny Lane Antique Mall in Geneva, NY. Walt assisted Linda with operating the antique mall. Walt was known for his love for the Lord, his family and living life. He is survived by his wife of 17 years Linda; children Philip Jaycox of Clyde, NY, Scott Jaycox of NC, Shawna Wagener of Ft. Mills, SC, Amber (Jeremy) Moore of Las Vegas, NV, Andrew (Laura) Bittner of Carson City, NV, and Anthony Bittner of Salt Lake City, UT; fifteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother Kenneth (Sheryl) Jaycox of Dandridge, TN; many nieces and nephews.
