Obituary of Joel Lee Trammell

WATERLOO – Joel L. Trammell, 58, passed away Monday (November 15, 2021) at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA. Family and friends may call from 10 a.m. to 11 am. Monday (November 22) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home, Waterloo, NY. The funeral service will immediately follow at the funeral home. Rev. Ellen Donnan, pastor of Junius Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Waterloo, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, 38105. Joel was born May 5, 1963, in Selma, AL, the son of Robert E. Daniel Lee and Martha Ann Groves Trammel. He was a 1983 graduate of Robstown High School in Robstown, TX. Joel was a U. S. Army veteran. He was employed with Seneca Meadows Landfill. He was a member of Junius Presbyterian Church. Joel was also a member of Warner VanRiper Post 435, American Legion and Sons of the American Legion. He is survived by his wife, whom he married September 22, 2007, Michelle A. Campbell Trammell; sisters Dolly Abbott of Corpus Christi, TX and Kay Horton of Mathis, TX; one niece and one nephew. Joel was predeceased by his parents Robert E. Daniel Lee Trammel and Martha A. Banner; brother Christopher P. Trammell; and sisters Verndel Wallace and Kathy Trammell.
