Obituary of Donald Lawrence Maybury

WATERLOO/FAYETTE – Donald L. Maybury, 81, of the Waterloo/Fayette area, passed away Wednesday (September 15, 2021) at Upstate Medical Center. In keeping with Don's wishes there will be no calling hours. Family and friends are welcome to attend a Celebration of Life from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday (September 25) at Maybury Farms, 1536 Yellow Tavern Rd., Waterloo, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA, 02241-7005. Don was born June 24, 1940, in Cortland, NY, the son of Jesse L. and Mary B. Post Maybury. He was a 1958 graduate of Homer Central High School. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran having served from 1960-1964. Don was a diary and crop farmer for most of his life. He is survived by his wife Jane G. Maybury, whom he married July 16, 1994; sons Bruce (Tracy) Maybury of Geneva, NY, Timothy Maybury of Grand Junction, CO, and Aaron (Roxanne Gee) Maybury of Savannah, NY; many grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one sister Martha Haney; many nieces. Don was predeceased by his parents; his first wife Donna Maybury; and two sisters Kay Marion and Jacqueline Arlene Thomas; and a nephew Dean Ames.
