Obituary of Carol Irene Poormon

SENECA FALLS – Carol I. Poormon, 79, of Seneca Falls, NY, passed away peacefully Monday (August 9, 2021) at Seneca Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Waterloo, NY. In keeping with the wishes of the family, there will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be 10 a.m. Friday (August 13) at Restvale Cemetery, Seneca Falls, NY. Rev. Barry Somerville, pastor of Finger Lakes Baptist Church, will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Finger Lakes Baptist Church, 1000 Yale Station Rd., Geneva, NY, 14456 or Seneca Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 200 Douglas Dr., Waterloo, NY, 13165. Carol was born December 8, 1941, in Union, NY, the daughter of Robert and Irene Andrews Neild. She was a graduate of Binghamton Central High School. Carol was a graduate of Binghamton General Hospital School of Nursing. As a registered nurse she was employed with Seneca Falls Hospital, Newark-Wayne Community Hospital, and Seneca Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Carol was a longtime member of Finger Lakes Baptist Church. She was also a member of Order of the Eastern Stars Fayette Chapter. She is survived by her husband Teddy L. Poormon; sons Robert (Sonya) Poormon of Waterloo, NY and Charles Poormon of Seneca Falls, NY; grandchildren Valerie (Michael) Goodman, Vyctoria Poormon, Michelle Poormon, and Amanda Poormon; great-grandchildren Peter and Jamie Goodman.
