Obituary of Deborah Jane King

WATERLOO – Deborah (Debbie) J. King, 67, of Waterloo, N.Y., passed away Friday (June 25, 2021) at Thompson Health in Canandaigua with her loving family by her side. Family and friends may attend a celebration of Debbie's life from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday (June 30) at Oak Island in Waterloo, N.Y. Debbie was born September 8, 1953, in Geneva, N.Y., the daughter of Francis Xavier and Dorothy Lucille Dunham. She attended DeSales High School. She spent many years raising her three children before working at Ames in Seneca Falls and Happiness House in Canandaigua. In her free time, she enjoyed crafting, birdwatching, and conversing over coffee with her loved ones. She is survived by her dear partner, David Conner; son Paul (Susan) E. King II of Dundee, N.Y., daughters Paula J. Waltz of Cincinnatus, N.Y. and Christena D. King (Andy) of Waterloo, N.Y.; David's daughters, Becky and Liz; her sister, Dorrie (Claude) A. Dunham of Oaks Corners, N.Y.; grandchildren Ann-Marie (Andrew) Easling, Paul E. King III, Abigail King, Susie (Dan) Waltz, Buster (Jake) Waltz, Stanley Waltz, Cameron Marko, Conner Marko, Maria Marko, and Andrew Bishop; great-grandchildren Isabell, Madelyn, and Lily-Ann; brother-in-law Leslie King; nephews Tim Parish and Cliff Sperry; and many beloved animals and lifelong friends. Debbie was predeceased by her parents; husband, Paul E. King; brother, Donald F. Dunham; sisters-in-law, Luanne Dunham and Ida King. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the team of doctors and nurses at Wilmont Cancer Center in Geneva who provided Debbie with excellent care throughout her nearly 4-year battle with lung cancer. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Boy Scout Troop 74 (Waterloo), Beverly Animal Shelter, and the American Cancer Society.
