WATERLOO/SENECA FALLS – Margaret K. Brand, 92, passed away Monday (March 8, 2021) at Seneca Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Waterloo, NY.
Family and friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday (March 13) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow immediately after the calling hours, at the funeral home. Rev. Jeannine Biehls, pastor of Tyre United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Cemetery, N. Rose, NY.
Those attending calling hours and or memorial service MUST wear face masks. All MUST enter the funeral home from the parking lot and exit through the Main St. doors. All MUST observe social distancing.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tyre United Methodist Church, Attn.: Norma Cayward, 714 Gravel Rd., Seneca Falls, NY, 13148.
Margaret was born August 16. 1928, in Galen, NY, the daughter of Nelson and Mabel Rose Kise. She was a 1946 graduate of Clyde High School. Margaret was employed with the Seneca Army Depot for several years. She then left employment at the Depot to work for Westcott Rule in Seneca Falls, NY. Before Westcott Rule closed Margaret accepted a position with Guaranteed Parts in Seneca Falls. She worked for Guaranteed Parts until the company closed. She was a longtime and active member of Tyre United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Seneca Falls Elks. Margaret was an avid bowler and played softball for a number of years.
She is survived by her daughter Kathleen B. Harrison of Waterloo, NY; son Gordon "Terry" T. Brand of Huntington Beach, CA; grandchildren Todd (Lauren) Harrison, Brett Harrison, Travis Brand, and Geoffrey Brand; great-grandchildren Sierra, Elle, Luke, and Lillian Harrison; many nieces and nephews.
Margaret was predeceased by her husband Gordon C. Brand; sisters Mildred Osborne, Irene Cook, Rose DiSanto; brothers Harold, William, Emory, LaVerne "Barney", Charles, and Wesley Kise.
