Obituary of Alice Dorothy Pierson

WATERLOO – Alice D. Pierson, 94, of Waterloo, NY, passed away Friday (January 29, 2021) at Geneva General Hospital. In keeping with the wishes of the family, there will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be announced in the Spring. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Oaks Corners Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 6, Oaks Corners, NY, 14518. Alice was born July 22, 1926, in Phelps, NY, the daughter of Sherman and Millicent McKee Ogden. She was a graduate of Phelps Union School. Alice was employed many years with Shuron Optical in Geneva, NY. She also worked alongside her husband, operating their chicken and egg farm on Packwood Rd. Alice was a longtime and active member of Oaks Corners Presbyterian Church. She was a longtime member of the Waterloo Sportsman's Club. She is survived by nieces Jo Ann (Michael) Slovak of Bath, NY, Karen Schaup-Daeffler of Leesburg, FL, and Linda (Jamie) Schery of Warsaw, NY; nephew James (Jackie) Pierson of Pfafftown, NC; many great nieces and great nephews.
