Obituary of William Richard Dorow

Waterloo – William R. Dorow, 84, of Waterloo, formerly of Virginia, died Monday (Sept. 3, 2018) at Living Center at Geneva – North.
In keeping with his wishes there will be no calling hours or services. US Navy burial will be at sea.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warriors Project, P. O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas, 66675-8517.
William was born Aug. 17, 1934, in St. Joseph, MI, the son of Emil K. and Olga P. Pfeiffer Dorow. He retired as a US Navy Commander after serving his country from 1956 to 1981. In his retirement he taught ROTC in Flint, MI.
He is survived by his children, Christina (Jeff) Briner of Warrenton, VA, Stephanie Dorow of WA, Rev. William (Susan) R. Dorow, Jr. of Waterloo, NY, Robert (Kat) Coffey of Springfield, VA, and Jennifer (Steve) Forrest of Palmer, AK; thirteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, David (Pat) Dorow of Portsmith, NH and Donald (Nancy) Dorow of Grand Rapids, MI; sister, Betty Moore of Battle Creek, MI; and many nieces and nephews; and loving neighbors of Virginia.
