Obituary of Eugene Davenport Nichols

Waterloo – Eugene D. Nichols, Sr. 87, formally of Romulus died Tuesday (June 12, 2018) at Huntington Living Center in Waterloo.
There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday (June 20) in Maple Grove Cemetery, Waterloo, N.Y. with military honors.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to V.F.W. Warner VanRiper Post 435, Waterloo, N.Y, 13165.
Eugene was born June 8, 1931 in Ridley Park, PA, the son of Conrad and Grace Davenport Nichols.
He was a High School Graduate. He served in the US Army from 1957-1971. After retirement from active duty and reserve duty he repaired small appliances for the Seneca Army Depot. Eugene also owned and operated Old Stuff Store Antiques in Romulus, NY.
He is survived by son, Eugene (Pat) Nichols, Jr.; daughter, Catherine Harmke; stepson, Dean (Bobbie) Chilson; stepdaughters, Paula Chilson and Darlene (Raymond) VanZile; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; brother, Frank Nichols; sister, Carolyn (Jeff) Osgood; several nieces and nephews.
Eugene was predeceased by his wife, Beverly J. Wheeler Nichols; son, Daniel Nichols and daughter, Margaret Minardi.
