Obituary of Duane Charles Smith

Waterloo/Junius – Duane C. Smith, 72, formerly of 1772 Whiskey Hill Rd., died Friday (March 16, 2018) at Seneca Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
There will be no calling hours. Spring Burial will be in South Street Cemetery in Triangle, NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sampson Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 6632 NY-96A, Romulus, NY, 14541.
Duane was born Feb. 27, 1946, in Binghamton, NY, the son of Gerald and Marian Bixley Smith. He was a graduate of Chenago Forks High School. Duane was a U. S. Air Force veteran serving during Vietnam. He owned and operated Smith Trucking for 11 years. After closing the trucking business he was employed with Wadhams Trucking for a number of years. Duane attended Aloquin United Methodist Church in Flint.
He is survived by his wife, Sherrill M. Smith; stepson, Douglas Cobler of DeQuincy, LA; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; brother, Dale (Carolyn) Smith of Chenago Bridge, NY; a niece and two nephews.
