Obituary of Arlene Mudge

Geneva - Arlene Estella Mudge, 101, formerly of Waterloo, died Monday (February 11, 2013) at Living Center South in Geneva. Keeping with Arlene's wishes there will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be in Mt. Green Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Romulus Presbyterian Church, 5614 Route 96, Romulus 14541. Arlene was born March 26, 1911 in Varick, the daughter of George Washington and Emma Sell Hilkert. She was one of eleven children, having outlived them all. She worked many jobs including Romulus Central School as a cafeteria worker, retiring in 1972. She is survived by two sisters-in-law: Vivian Hilkert of Waterloo and Winifred Hilkert of Seneca Falls; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Clarence Mudge, on December 4, 1972. Condolences may be left at coegenungfuneralhome.com.
