Obituary of Allelia Getz

WATERLOO– Allelia "Lee" Getz, 83, formerly of Waterloo, N.Y., passed away peacefully Thursday (October 26, 2017) at Brightview Retirement Community, Danvers, Mass., with her loving family by her side.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday (Nov. 3) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home, Waterloo, N.Y. The funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday (Nov. 4) at the funeral home. Rev. Phyllis Granger, pastor of First Baptist Church of Geneva, N.Y., will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Waterloo, N.Y.

Lee was an active member of First Baptist Church of Geneva. She was a homemaker, Den Mother, Scoutmaster's wife, a water aerobics instructor for the New York Chiropractic College, plus owned and operated for many years Getz Ceramics.
She was the beloved wife of the late Robert R. Getz, Sr. and daughter of the late Harry and Nettie Newman of Waterloo, N.Y. After Harry died, while Lee was very young, Nettie married Sherrill Clark. Lee is also predeceased by her step-father, Sherrill.
Lee was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her sons Robert (Terri) R. Getz, Jr. of Middleton, Mass. and Richard (Valerie) R. Getz of Fairport, N.Y.; grandchildren Kelly (Michael) Daggs, Richard Getz, Jr., and Steven Getz of Fairport, N.Y.; step-grandchildren Melanie Porter of Peabody, Mass and Allison Trovage of NYC, N.Y.; and seven great-grandchildren.
