Obituary of Patricia Elaine DeWall

Waterloo – Patricia E. DeWall, 75, of 1400 Rt. 96, Apt. C32, died Wednesday (Sept. 13, 2017) at the home of her daughter, Sherrie, with her loving family by her side. In keeping with Patricia's wishes there will be no calling hours. A private service will be at Sampson Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Varick. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Taylor-Brown Auxiliary, 369 E. Main St., Waterloo, NY, 13165. Patricia was born Aug. 4, 1942, in Washington, D.C., the daughter of William and Gladys M. Jenkins Hawkins. She was a graduate of Rockville High School, Rockville, MD. Patricia was employed for 20 years with Willard Psychiatric Center, until the closing of the center. She then opened her home to residents of the former psychiatric center continuing to give care for another 20 years. She was an active member and former president of Warner VanRiper Post 435, American Legion Auxiliary. She is survived by daughters, Sherrie (Rob) Harding of Waterloo, NY, Jackie (Joe) McCann of Albany, GA, Debbie (Dave) Lockett of Waterloo, NY; grandchildren, Kerry (Rob) Harkins, T.J. (Sydney Rogers) Radka, Ryan Harding, Katelyn Harding, Danielle McCann, and Sarah McCann; great-grandchildren, Addesyn Harkins, Logan Harkins, Liam Radka, and Camden Bishop; brothers, Steve (Paula) Hawkins of TX and Kenny (Patricia) Hawkins of SC; aunt, Gloria Anzengruber of Baltimore, MD; sister-in-law, Patricia (Bill) Brown of Lowville, NY; many nieces and nephews; and very special friends, Katie McLaughlin of Waterloo, NY, Kathy (Bob Gillespie) McLaughlin of Seneca Falls, NY, Michael McLaughlin and Max McLaughlin, both of Weedsport, NY.
