Obituary of Neil David Eastman

Waterloo – Neil D. Eastman, 91, of 16 Chestnut St., died Friday (July 7, 2017) at his home. Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday (July 14) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home. A time of celebrating of Neil's life and sharing stories will immediately follow at the funeral home. Burial will be in Prattsburgh Rural Cemetery, Prattsburgh, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Beverly Animal Shelter, 50 E. River St., Waterloo, NY, 13165. Neil was born March 11, 1926, in Stockholm, NY, the son of Frank and Minnie Turner Eastman. He was a graduate of Parishville Central School, Parishville, NY. Neil was a W.W. II Navy veteran. Neil worked in the profession of neon sign manufacturing for his entire career. He owned and operated Eastman Signs in Auburn, for many years. He was a member of the Buckskin Bowman and a member of National Field Archery Association. Neil was a member of Waterloo Memorial Post 6433, VFW. He is survived by his daughters, Susan Kaufmann of Bloomfield, NY and Cathy (William) Ross of Seneca Falls, NY; grandchildren, Elizabeth (David) Cross, Keith (Johanna) Kaufmann, Kelly (Tim) Dunning, and William (Tori Eline) N. Ross; great-grandchildren, Katelyn and Tyler Cross, Leo Kaufmann, Tanyon, Breanne, and Natalia Dunning; sister, Jean Teter of Wilcox, NE; many nieces and nephews.
