Obituary of William Ellis Smith

WATERLOO – William E. Smith, Jr., 64, of Waterloo died Monday (Aug. 22, 2016) at his home. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Wednesday (Aug. 31) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home. The memorial service will immediately follow at the funeral home. Terry Fenton, pastor of Finger Lakes ChristianFellowship, will officiate. Military honors will immediately follow at Brookside Cemetery in Geneva, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society,1120 South Goodman St., Rochester, NY 14620 William was born Aug. 2, 1952 in Geneva, N.Y., the son of William and Elsie Kerfien Smith, Sr. William served in the Air Force, stationed in Italy as an electrical engineer on airplanes. In his youth he worked for the family restaurant known as Smitty's and a former employee at Seneca Foodsin Geneva. He was an avid pool player and member of the Stanton Automatics Waterfall Pool League. He enjoyed video games and was a movie buff. William is survived by children Tracey Smith, Amy Vappie,Robert (Yajaira) Pesante, Judith and Angela; sisters Tracey Smith and Janet (Dana) Domke; brother, John "Scott" Smith; several grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and best friend, Brian Laws.
