Obituary of Barbara Jean Buck

SENECA FALLS/ WATERLOO - Barbara J. Ross Poormon Buck, 86, of 50 E. Bayard St., died Wednesday (June 15, 2016) at her home with her family by her side. Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday (June 19) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home in Waterloo. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday (June 20) at the funeral home. The Rev. Stephen Beals, pastor of W. Fayette Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Fayette Rural Cemetery in Fayette. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fetcha Friend Dog Rescue, 92 Garden St., Seneca Falls, NY 13148 or Beverly's Animal Shelter, 50 E. River St., Waterloo, NY 13165. Barb was born May 1, 1930, in Waterloo, the daughter of Howard and Bertha Decker Ross. She attended Waterloo High School. She was employed as a waitress and cook at various restaurants in the Finger Lakes area. Barb also babysat for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed bowling and also ceramics. She is survived by daughters, Linda (William) Trout and Tammy (Jeff) Westfall, both of Seneca Falls; son, Stephen Poormon of Waterloo; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brothers, John Ross of Waterloo and Howard (Diane) Ross, Jr. of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; daughter-in-law, Susanne Poormon of Waterloo; and former daughter-in-law, Linda Buck of Waterloo; many nieces and nephews. Barb was predeceased by one son, Larry Poormon; step-son, Clifford "Jim" Buck, Jr.; and eight siblings. Condolences may be sent to the family to www.coegenungfuneralhome.com.
