Obituary of Carolyn Cooper

Waterloo - Carolyn E. Cooper, 87, died Sunday (December 2, 2012) at Seneca Nursing And Rehabilitation Center in Waterloo. In keeping with Carolyn's wishes there will be no calling hours or funeral service. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery in W. Bloomfield at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to an organization of one's choice. Carolyn was born September 12, 1925 in Auburn, the daughter of Brainard B. and Mabel I. Howe Chamberlain. She was a 1943 graduate of Moravia High School and a 1945 graduate of the Powelson Business Institute in Syracuse. From 1946 to 1971 she was employed with Beacon Mfg Milling Co. in Cayuga and Roto Salt Co. in Union Springs. From April of 1971 until retiring in June 1980, she was employed with Guaranteed Parts in Seneca Falls. She loved to read, do cross-word puzzles, and was a member of Grange #44. She is survived by two step-children: Allan (Margaret) Cooper and Linda (Dean) Simmons both of Canandaigua, four step-grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren, one sister: Dorothy (Robert) Kennedy of Skaneateles, and one brother: Ralph (Betty) Chamberlain of Lake Placid, Fl, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Leonard W. Cooper June 23, 2001, one sister: Louise Jordan, and two brothers: Donald and LeRoy Chamberlain.
