Obituary of Jane Brewer

Waterloo - J. DeNelle Brewer, 83, of 1539 Powderly Rd., died Saturday (November 7, 2015) at her home with her loving family by her side. Friends may call 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday (Nov. 11) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home in Waterloo. The funeral service will be 11 a.m Thursday (Nov. 12) at the funeral home. Rev. Ellen Donnan, pastor of Junius Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Waterloo. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, 6390 Fly Rd., 2nd Floor, E. Syracuse, NY, 13057 or North Seneca Ambulance, 1645 North Rd., Waterloo, NY, 13165. DeNelle was born Nov. 30, 1931 in Canandaigua, the daughter of Edward and E. Lillian Maefie Strang. She was a 1950 graduate of Waterloo High School. For many years, DeNelle was a newspaper carrier for the Syracuse Newspapers. She was a longtime member of the former Waterloo Wesleyan Church, later known as Solid Rock Wesleyan Church. She is survived by daughters, Amy (Steven) Rice and Barbara (Ransom) McBride both of Waterloo, Alice (Frank) DiDona of Waterloo and Sharon (Thomas) Shoemaker of Clyde; sons, Howard (Marilyn) Brewer of Waterloo and Eugene (Genny) Brewer of Pitman, NJ; 21 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. DeNelle was predeceased by her husband, William E. Brewer; daughters, Elinor L. Simon and Christine and her husband, John Meckley; son, Donald A.
