Phelps/Waterloo - Elizabeth "Betty" L. Miller, 88, of Phelps, formerly of Waterloo, died Sunday (September 13, 2015) at Newark Wayne Community Hospital in Newark. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday (Sept.16) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home in Waterloo. The graveside service will be 1 p.m. Thursday (Sept. 17)) at Maple Grove Cemetery in Waterloo. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Waterloo Memorial Post 6433, V.F.W. Auxiliary, 29 Elisha St., Waterloo, NY, 13165. Betty was born Sept. 4, 1927 in Waterloo, the daughter of James P. and Ruth Morehouse Jones. She was a graduate of Waterloo High School. Betty was a former employee of Acme in Waterloo and later, P&C in Phelps. She was a lifetime member of Waterloo Memorial Post 6433, V.F.W. Auxiliary. Betty was an avid SU basketball fan. She is survived by sons, James (Denise) Jones of Geneva, Brian (Cena) Jones of Covington, GA, and Todd (Lauri) Jones of Waterloo; daughters, Kim Brewster of Palmyra and Regina Tomion of Stanley; stepsons, Bruce (Jackie) Miller of Seneca Falls and Richard (Shari) Miller of Newark; stepdaughter, Rhonda (Hal Wilcox) Cheney of Waterloo; many grandchildren and great-grandsons; brother, Joseph Jones of Carson City, NA; sister, Jesse DiCicco of Waterloo; sister-in-law, Lena Jones of Waterloo; and many nieces and nephews.
