Obituary of Shirley McCormack

Waterloo - Shirley M. McCormack, 82, of Waterloo, died Thursday (August 13, 2015) at House of John in Clifton Springs, with her loving family by her side. There will be no calling hours. The memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday (August 20) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to House of John, 14 Spring St., Clifton Springs, New York, 14432. Shirley was born October 15, 1932, in Seneca Falls, the daughter of Theodore A. and Marian V. Ryan Meeks. She was a graduate of Mynderse Academy in Seneca Falls. As a home healthcare provider she found fulfillment giving care to the elderly. She is survived by daughters, Jo Ann (Fred) Petrosino of Rochester and Jill Baldwin of Interlaken; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Gayle (Jim) Woodruff of Romulus and Cheryl Detro of Waterloo; many nieces and nephews; and her special canine companion, Jake. Shirley was predeceased by one daughter, Donna Lee Bennett; one brother, Melvin Meeks; and one sister, Beverly Luzzi. Condolences for the family may be sent to www.coegenungfuneralhome.com.
