Obituary of Andrew Fegley

Waterloo - Andrew N. Fegley, 78, of 6 E. Kendig St., died Tuesday (August 11, 2015) at Clifton Springs Hospital and Clinic in Clifton Springs.
Friends may call 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday (Aug. 17) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home in Waterloo. Military rites, by members of Waterloo Memorial Post 6433, V.F.W. and Warner Van Riper Post 435, American Legion, will be 7 p.m. Monday (Aug.17) at the funeral home. The memorial service will be 8 p.m. Monday (Aug. 17) at the funeral home. Rev. Phil Tennies, assistant pastor of Waterloo United Methodist Church, will officiate.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, National Processing Center, P. O. Box 13067, Alexandria, VA, 22312.
Andrew was born April 27, 1937 in Batavia, the son of Kenneth H. and Crystal Walker Fegley. He was a 1956 graduate of Waterloo High School. Andrew proudly served in the Army National Guard. Returning from the service he was employed at Willard Psychiatric Center for about 25 years. He was a life member of the Waterloo Rifle and Pistol Club. He was also a longtime member of the Buckskin Bowmen Archery Club. Andrew also enjoyed being member of the Auburn Amateur Radio Club, where he achieved the highest rating of Extra Class Ham Radio. Andy will be remember for his many years of service for Waterloo Little League and Senior League. He was involved with scouts from his youth and began an Explorer Club when he turned 18 years of age. For about seven years, Andy was Cub Mast for Troop 81. During the 1970's he sang and played guitar for the "Melotones".
He is survived by sons, Kenneth "Mike" Fegley and Andrew C. (Diana) Fegley, both of Waterloo and Patrick J. (Mariah) Ernhout-Fegley of Geneva; daughters, Kristine (Gary) Daily and Kathryn (Elmer) White both of Waterloo; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Andrew was predeceased by by his his wife, Carol M. Fegley; parents, brother, Kenneth James Fegley and sister, Joan Fegley Bruzee.
