Obituary of Harold White

Varick - Harold E. White, 97, of Lynchburg, VA, formerly of Varick, passed away, Wednesday (February 11, 2015) in his home. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday (Feb. 19) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home in Waterloo. A graveside service in Union Cemetery in Ovid will be announced in the Spring. In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions may be made to The Gideons International, PO Box 4723, Lynchburg, VA 24502. Harold was born Jan. 5, 1918, in Coudersport, PA, the son of Jesse and Jenny M. Mitchell White. He was employed for 29 years as a laboratory technician for General Electric in Elmira. After the death of his first wife, Vivian May Bird White, he married Margaret Cummings White. While he was married to Margaret they moved to Lynchburg, VA. He was a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church in Lynchburg. He is survived by his daughters, Linda Lee Neumire and Joan Marie (Robert) Sullivan; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
