Obituary of Cynthia White

Junius/Waterloo - Cynthia "Cindy" E. White, 43, of 1615 Rt. 318, passed away Sunday (January 18, 2015) at her home, unexpectedly in her sleep. Friends may call 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday (Jan. 22) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home in Waterloo. The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday (Jan. 23) at the funeral home. Lena Shipley, retired pastoral assistant for St. Francis and St. Clare Catholic Parish, will officiate. Burial will be in Springbrook Cemetery in Seneca Falls. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Trevor's Gift, 21 E. Main St., Suite 212, Waterloo, NY, 13165. Cindy was born July 8, 1971 in Geneva, the daughter of Lewis L. and Ann M. Lewis White. She graduated from Waterloo High School and went to SUNY Brockport for her bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. She worked fifteen years as a Corrections Officer for NYSDOCS. Cindy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her two children, Petra and Reilley. She enjoyed family travel. Petra reminded us that Aquatica was Cindy's favorite water park. Petra also remembers her mother's love for dolphins and tie-dye. She is survived by her fiance, Sean O'Connor; daughter, Petra Ann O'Connor and son, Reilley S. O'Connor both at home; her parents, Lewis and Ann White, of Waterloo; brother, Ed (Julie) White and their children, Jaden, Gabriella, and Luke of Waterloo; sister, Brenda (Ken) Szymanski and their children, Jake and Josh of Interlaken; and many aunts, uncles cousins; Sean's father, Fred of Florida; Sean's relatives; and her two dogs, Princess and Mario.
