Obituary of Edward Gould

Seneca Falls - Edward E. Gould, 75, of 21 Chapin St., Lot 1, died (December 1, 2014) at Geneva General Hospital in Geneva. Friends may call 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday (Dec. 6) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home in Waterloo. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday (Dec. 6) at the funeral home. Rev. David Underwood, pastor of Waterloo Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in South Butler Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Beverly's Animal Shelter, 50 E. River St., Waterloo, NY, 13165. Edward was born Nov. 25, 1939 in Auburn, the son of Leslie E. and Jessie Griffin Gould. He began working for his father on the family crop farm in South Butler. Later he was employed with Sylvania, later known as Phillips ECG, in Seneca Falls. After Phillips closed he worked for the House of Concern in Seneca Falls and the laundry mat in Waterloo. He was an active member of the Waterloo Baptist Church. He loved his family and especially his animals. He is survived by daughter, Michelle Stoneburg of Auburn; sons, Michael Gould and James (Crystal) Gould of Seneca Falls; stepson, Brian (Kellie) LeFever of Waterloo; special friend, Martha Smith; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sister, Eleanor (William) Shaft of Wolcott; and many nieces and nephews. Ed was predeceased by daughter, Rebecca Gould; grandson, Timothy Gould Stoneburg; brother, David Gould; and sister, Dorothy Cochran.
