Waterloo - Carol Marie Fegley, 75, of 6 E. Kendig St., died Monday (September 15, 2014) at Clifton Springs Hospital and Clinic in Clifton Springs, surrounded by her loving family.
Friends may call 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday (Sept. 19) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home in Waterloo. The funeral service will follow immediately at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. James Fennessy, pastor of St. Mary's Catholic Church, will officiate. A committal service will be 11 a.m. Saturday (Sept. 20) in St. Mary's Cemetery in Waterloo.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Waterloo Library, 31 E. Williams St., Waterloo, NY, 13165.
Carol was born April 11, 1939 in Seneca Falls, the daughter of Clinton and Ella Meyers Huff. She was a 1958 graduate of Mynderse Academy. She attended one year at The Guild in Saranac Lake and one year of college at Highland Hospital studying x-ray technology at both colleges. She was employed, as an x-ray technician, eleven years with Seneca Falls Hospital, then employed with Willard Psychiatric Hospital, until she retired in 1995. Carol was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Waterloo Memorial Day Museum. She was involved with scouts as a den mother for ten years. Carol was a communicant of St. Mary's Catholic Church and for many years taught, Religious Instruction.
She is survived by husband of 55 years, Andrew Fegley; sons, Kenneth "Mike" Fegley and Andrew C. (Diana) Fegley both of Waterloo, and Patrick J. (Mariah) Ernhout-Fegley of Geneva; daughters, Kristine (Gary) Daily and Kathryn (Elmer) White both of Waterloo; twelve grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Carol was predeceased by one grandson, Adam White and two sisters, Ellen Leno and Lois Marsh.
