Obituary of Janet Pratz

Waterloo - Janet K.Pratz, 97, passed away Thursday (August 28, 2014) at Seneca Nursing & Rehabilitation in Waterloo. In keeping with Janet's wishes, there will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Monday (Sept. 8) at Maple Grove Cemetery in Waterloo. Rev. Sarah West, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Waterloo, will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Lifetime Care Hospice, 3111 Winton Rd. South, Rochester, NY, 14623-9915. Janet was born July 17, 1917, in Waterloo, the daughter of Charles H. and Leah Kime Pratz.She was a 1935 graduate of Waterloo High School. She was employed at Seneca Army Depot and later for her father at Pratz & MacGill appliances. Janet enjoyed gardening, reading and when possible fishing. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Waterloo. Janet was also member of Phi Beta Psi Sorority. She is survived by nephews, Richard H. MacGill of Waterloo, James (Kathryn) Pratz of Northeast, PA., niece, Elizabeth M.Sanders of Ortonville, MI; many great nephews and nieces. Janet was predeceased by brother, Harold W.
