Obituary of Mary Ridley

Waterloo - Mary E. Ridley, 92, formerly of Waterloo, died Saturday (July 12, 2014) at Geneva Living Center South in Geneva. Friends may call 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday (July 14) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home in Waterloo. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. (July 15) at the funeral home. Rev. Ellen Donnan, pastor of Junius Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Newton Cemetery in Junius. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the organization of one's choice. Mary was born Oct. 9, 1921 in Naples, the daughter of James and Elizabeth Hienrichs Cottrell. She was a graduate of Waterloo High School. During her years of employment she worked for various manufacturing companies in the Finger Lakes area. Mary was a life member of the North Seneca Sportsmans Club. She was an avid card player. She is survived by her son, Norman (Debra Vanni) Ridley of Clyde; grandson, Jeremy Ridley of Philadelphia , PA; sister, Carol (Mickey) Gillotte of Manchester; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Norman C. Ridley; brothers, Erich, Bertram, Thomas, Edgar, Ralph, and Charles Cottrell; sisters, Bessie Kise and Shirley Wilson.
