Obituary of Ruth Heitmann

Auburn/Waterloo - Ruth M. Lee Heitmann, 96, of Auburn, formerly of Waterloo, died Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at Upstate University Medical Hospital in Syracuse.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday (May 24), at the Coe-Genung Funeral Home in Waterloo. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., with Rev. David Borthwick, pastor of St. Luke's United Church of Christ, Auburn, officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Waterloo, thereafter.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke's United Church of Christ, 25 Seminary Ave., Auburn, NY 13021.
Ruth was born Jan. 25, 1918, in Fayette, the daughter of Eric and Nellie Esther Rothwell Olsowske. She was the beloved wife of Earl E. Lee and Carl Heitmann. Ruth was a life-long member of St. Luke's United Church of Christ and regular participant in the church's charitable activities. She also served for many years as a volunteer in the Auburn SCAT Van Program.
Ruth is survived by a sister, Kathryn Puls of N.C.; multiple grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, grandnieces/nephews, cousins, etc., too numerous to name.
She will be greatly missed by all.
