Obituary of Thomas Farnsworth

Seneca Falls - Thomas F. Farnsworth, 81, died Wednesday (February 19, 2014) at his home with his wife by his side.
Friends may call 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday (Feb. 22) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home in Waterloo. The funeral service will be 12 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 22) at the funeral home. Rev. Diane Walker, pastor of the Ovid Federated Church and former pastor of Tyre United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Waterloo.

Tom was born May 12, 1932, in Ontario, the son of Floyd and Lydia Hoffman Farnsworth. He was a graduate of Romulus High School. Tom was a U.S. Army veteran serving his country from 1952 to 1954. Returning from the service, he was employed with Sylvania in Seneca Falls, retiring after 37 years of employment. He then was employed at the Waterloo Post Office for ten years. Later, he was employed at Walmart for ten years. He was a member of the Kirk-Casey American Legion in Seneca Falls and a lifetime member of the Seneca Falls Elks Club. Tom was a member of the Tyre United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Sandra L. Osborne Farnsworth; son, John (Vicki) Farnsworth of Newark; daughters, Linda (Daryl) Reed and Sharon Kramberg both of Seneca Falls; eight grandchildren, Steven, Scott, Vicki, Jackie, Tiffany, Christopher, Fred, and Ashley; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Barney (Barbara) Farnsworth of Waterloo and Robert (Theresa) Farnsworth of Seneca Falls; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one brother, Richard.
